Farm bureau encourages local students to enter art, essay.
More than 1,500 farmers from across the state gathered in Franklin December 7-10 for the purpose of developing policy for 2020, electing leadership for the organization, presenting awards to outstanding county Farm Bureaus, learning about the latest trends and issues in agriculture and networking with other farmers across the state.All entries must be submitted by a county Farm Bureau to GFB. The 2020 GFB High School Art Contest is open to all public, private and home-schooled students in 9th through 12th grades. Finished artwork must be on 8.5 x 11-inch white paper and should be created in the colors black, white and gray.Tennessee Farm Bureau provides teachers with resources to help them educate their students about agriculture. Ag Literacy enrichment materials are provided through the Tennessee Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom. Final judging and selection of the national winner will be made by the Federation's essay committee, whose decision will be final. 7. The Bartow County Farm Bureau is encouraging all local public, private and home-schooled students in ninth through 12th grades to submit an entry in the 2020 Georgia Farm Bureau High School Art Contest to the BCFB office at 1130 N. Tennessee St., Suite A, by the Feb. 28 deadline.
